NASCAR ’15 Victory Edition Introduction:
NASCAR '15 stands as a NASCAR-themed video game, marking the fourth entry in the NASCAR The Game series and an enhancement of its predecessor, NASCAR '14. Crafted by Eutechnyx and published by the newly appointed NASCAR video game licensee, Dusenberry Martin Racing, this game was accessible on the seventh-generation PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 consoles, in addition to being compatible with Microsoft Windows. Copies of the console version were made physically available at GameStop outlets (EB Games in Canada), while digital downloads were offered through the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. Steam also had the game available for Windows PC.
On January 1, 2015, Dusenberry Martin Racing (DMR), a subsidiary of HC2 Holdings, Inc., secured the NASCAR video game license, along with "certain NASCAR-related assets," from Eutechnyx. DMR announced the release of an updated version of NASCAR '14, already in development by Eutechnyx, slated for May 2015 on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and Windows PC. As this update, it retained many features from previous NASCAR The Game releases. In the subsequent year, Dusenberry Martin Racing developed NASCAR Heat Evolution for eighth-generation consoles.
Gameplay:
To generate buzz around the game, DMR enlisted several NASCAR drivers as "Game Ambassadors," including Erik Jones (in collaboration with GameStop), Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Darrell Wallace Jr., and Matt Tifft. An enhanced iteration of the game, known as NASCAR '15: Victory Edition, encompassing all paint schemes, downloadable content (DLC), and patches, emerged in October 2015 at no extra cost for those who had purchased the original version.
The cover for the 2015 edition featured Jeff Gordon, a four-time Sprint Cup Series champion, who was embarking on his 23rd and final year as a full-time Sprint Cup participant. He replaced Tony Stewart, who had featured on the 2014 cover. The "Victory Edition" boasted Joey Logano, the 2015 Daytona 500 victor, on its cover. NASCAR '15 Victory Edition, like its precursor, is a NASCAR video game and a complimentary update, created and published by Dusenberry Martin Racing, accessible on the seventh-generation PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 consoles, and Microsoft Windows. Physical copies of the console version were obtainable from various retailers, while digital downloads were accessible via the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. Steam also offered the game for Windows PC.
